Exception Handlers
Exception handlers use iv special-purpose registers, called control and status registers (CSRs), to handle an exception: mtvec, mcause, mepc, and mscratch. Performing a Memory-I/O Instruction

For I/O input instructions, the procedure sets the port_addr signal to the effective address and asserts the port_read command indicate. Early Initialization

The subregion disable field (fleck [xv:viii] of the MPU Region Base Attribute and Size annals) is used to carve up a region into viii equal subregions and and so to define each every bit enabled or disabled.
